Kaneez lives alone in Borah, struggling to survive each day. She has nothing of her own - her bedding and clothes were given to her by a kind neighbour. With no income, no family to support her, and no food to eat, every day is a battle against hunger and pain.

“I don't have enough money to make a house. If someone gave for the sake of Allah, I could build a home and install a water pump too.”
Kaneez’s body is also broken. While collecting wood, she fell and fractured her arm in three places. A kind man put a cast on it for free, but he has since passed away. Now, she suffers in silence, unable to afford any medical care.
“If I can’t find food to fill my stomach, then not having medicine for the pain is nothing in comparison.”
