Join Orphans In Need on a powerful humanitarian deployment to Egypt, where you will witness firsthand the life-changing work being delivered to Palestinian refugee families, orphaned children and vulnerable communities affected by conflict and displacement.
This is more than a trip. It is an opportunity to serve humanity, strengthen your faith, and see the direct impact of your fundraising on the lives of families who have endured unimaginable hardship.
Over four days, you will visit Orphans In Need projects supporting Palestinian refugees, meet orphaned children and widowed mothers, distribute essential aid, and hear firsthand the stories of resilience, hope and survival.

For decades, Egypt has provided refuge to thousands of Palestinian families who have fled conflict and instability. Many continue to face significant challenges, including limited access to education, healthcare, employment and long-term financial security.
Children are often the most affected, growing up having experienced displacement, trauma and uncertainty about the future.
Through trusted local partners, Orphans In Need delivers humanitarian assistance to Palestinian refugee families by providing:

Every participant plays an important role in supporting Orphans In Need's work.
The funds you raise will directly support humanitarian programmes for Palestinian refugees in Egypt, helping provide food, education, healthcare, orphan sponsorship and long-term family support.

Anyone aged 18 or over with a passion for helping others is welcome to apply. No previous volunteering experience is required.
Complete the online registration form and a member of the Orphans In Need team will contact you with further information and your deployment pack.
The registration fee is £599.
This secures your place on the deployment.
Each participant is required to raise £3,000 before departure.
Our fundraising team will support you every step of the way with tailored fundraising ideas and one-to-one guidance.
Your fundraising will directly support Palestinian refugee families through:
Yes. Orphans In Need will arrange and book your international flights once your place has been confirmed.
Full travel information will be provided before departure.
Yes. Accommodation, airport transfers and all local transport throughout the deployment are included.
Suhoor and Iftar will be provided throughout the deployment.
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must be arranged independently before travelling.
Participants should consult their GP or a travel health clinic well in advance of departure regarding recommended vaccinations and any travel health advice for Egypt.

February is one of the most pleasant times to visit Egypt. Participants can expect mild and comfortable daytime temperatures, typically between 18°C and 24°C, with cooler evenings. Comfortable clothing, a light jacket for evenings and suitable walking shoes are recommended.
