Last year’s Qurbani donations saw hundreds of thousands of widow and orphan families being fed in Jammu and Kashmir. Just £65 makes all the difference.
Give your Qurbani in Jammu and Kashmir for just £65.

For decades the region of Jammu and Kashmir has lacked significant investment in infrastructure, keeping its population in a cycle of unemployment, disease, and poverty. The aftermath of the pandemic has added to the suffering of the people of Kashmir. Food poverty and lack of access to healthcare have worsened, leaving thousands of families in desperate states.

Many orphan and widow families living in Kashmir rarely get the opportunity to celebrate Eid al-Adha, and this year we want to make sure that they do. We need your help and support by making your Qurbani donation online through Orphans in Need.

To help the most vulnerable celebrate Qurbani in Jammu and Kashmir, donate your Qurbani and help feed orphans in Jammu and Kashmir for just £65.

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah (SWT), but it is piety from you that reaches him.” (Surah Al-Hajj 22:37)

Qurbani falls on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, which, in the UK, is predicted to begin on 19 June 2023. Qurbani is carried out on the three days of Eid and signifies the difficult decision Prophet Ibrahim (AS) made to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) for the sake of Allah (SWT).

If you meet the criteria for making a Qurbani donation (i.e., meet the Nisab threshold), then you are expected to make a sacrifice of an animal, usually a goat, sheep, cow, or camel. That is then distributed amongst friends, family, and people experiencing poverty.

"And they [the righteous] give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive..." (Qur'an 76:8)

By choosing Orphans in Need for your Muslim charity in the UK, we make sure that the sacrifice is carried out and delivered in Jammu and Kashmir on the three days of Eid so that the less fortunate can enjoy the festivities.

Your Qurbani donation will bring joy to impoverished families, as well as help to benefit the local communities they live in, too. By choosing Jammu and Kashmir for your Qurbani, we source the meat from local farmers to improve their livelihoods and choose only the animals that are suited for Qurbani for you.

Give your Qurbani and bring joy to orphans and widows in Jammu and Kashmir.

Orphans and widows who live in extreme poverty often go days without any food or water. Deemed as the lowest in society and deprived of their basic human rights, we make sure that they are never forgotten.

Bring joy to orphan and widow families in Jammu and Kashmir for £65 with your Qurbani.
