Last year, your Qurbani reached hundreds of thousands of orphan and widow families. Donate your Qurbani in India from just £25.
Your Qurbani had the power to feed hundreds of thousands of widow and orphan families last Eid al-Adha. Continue the support this year from only £25.
India is continuing to reel from the aftereffects of the impact of the Covid-19 crisis - according to the WHO, India had the second-highest number of confirmed cases in the world. The death and destruction that it wreaked on the economy and families across the country have thrown hundreds and thousands of widows and orphans even deeper into poverty and malnourishment. As we enter the time of Eid and Qurbani in India, you have the opportunity to donate your Qurbani online and alleviate the suffering of many.
As your chosen Muslim charity, we will source the Qurbani meat locally in India, ensuring widows and orphans have access to healthy, nutritious meals this Eid al-Adha.

“It is neither their meat nor their blood that reaches Allah (SWT), but it is piety from you that reaches him.” (Surah Al-Hajj 22:37)
Qurbani falls on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, which, in the UK, is predicted to begin on 19 June 2023. Qurbani is delivered on the three days of Eid and signifies the difficult decision Prophet Ibrahim (AS) made to sacrifice his son, Ismail (AS), for the sake of Allah (SWT).
If you are eligible to make a Qurbani donation (i.e., meet the Nisab threshold), then you are expected to make a sacrifice of an animal, usually a goat, sheep, cow, or camel, that is then distributed amongst friends, family, and people experiencing poverty.
"And they [the righteous] give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive..." (Qur'an 76:8)
We make sure that the sacrifice is carried out and delivered on the three days of Eid so that the less fortunate can enjoy the festivities. Your Qurbani brings joy to impoverished families; it also benefits the communities they live in, too. In preparation for Eid in India, we source the Qurbani meat from local farmers to improve their livelihoods and choose only the animals that are suited for Qurbani for you.
Give your Qurbani and bring joy to orphans and widows in India.
Orphans and widows who live in extreme poverty often go days without any food or water. Deemed as the lowest in society and deprived of their basic human rights, we make sure that they are never forgotten. Donate your Indian Qurbani online through Orphans in Need and help reduce the suffering and malnourishment of these forgotten people.
