Join Orphans in Need on an unforgettable humanitarian deployment to The Gambia, where you will work alongside our local teams to support some of the country's most vulnerable orphaned children and widowed families.

Over six incredible days, you will witness the realities faced by orphaned children living in poverty, distribute essential aid, visit communities, schools and orphan support projects, and experience the profound difference your fundraising makes.

The registration fee is £599.
This secures your place on the deployment.
Each participant is required to raise £5,000 before departure.
Our fundraising team will support you throughout your journey to help you achieve your target.
Your fundraising directly supports Orphans in Need's humanitarian work in The Gambia, including food distribution, orphan support, education, healthcare and community welfare projects.
Yes. Orphans In Need are responsible for booking your international flights once their place has been confirmed.
Detailed travel guidance will be provided.
Yes. Hotel accommodation, airport transfers and local transport during the deployment are included within the registration package.
Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is provided daily.
Yes. Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory and must be arranged independently before travelling.
Participants should consult their GP or travel clinic well in advance of departure regarding recommended vaccinations and health advice for travel to The Gambia.

October is generally warm and humid in The Gambia, with daytime temperatures often reaching around 30–32°C. Lightweight clothing, comfortable footwear, sun protection and adequate hydration are recommended.
