Refugees and displaced communities can face sub-zero temperatures, storms, flooding and extreme weather every winter. Illness and health conditions can strike from this freezing weather, such as hypothermia, and storms can damage settlements and shelters, leaving vulnerable people open to the elements. The Orphans in Need winter appeal provides lifesaving aid to these communities by giving vital winter assistance, such as winter appeal blankets, clothes, medical assistance, and food.
