Eid al-Adha, also known as the Festival of Sacrifice, is a time of faith and happiness. Across the world, families gather to pray, share meals, and celebrate the blessings that Allah has gifted them with. For many children who live in difficult circumstances, however, the celebrations of Eid can pass without new clothes, toys, or even a hot meal.

Through Orphans in Need, you can help make Eid brighter for vulnerable children and struggling families.

Giving during the time of Eid is a beautiful way to spread happiness, displaying care to others through the means of gifting. Islam largely teaches a believer to support those in need, especially the orphans, widows and families facing poverty. Small acts of kindness can bring a smile to the one who struggles, and what better time to give than to give at the time of Eid, bringing hope to a child who may otherwise feel alone during this blessed time.

“So whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it.”

The Importance of Giving in Islam

Eid may be about celebrating the blessings sent down by Allah, but it is also about sharing those blessings with others. The Messenger of Allah (Peace be Upon Him) was known for his generosity, especially during the times of celebration. It has been narrated that he, Peace be Upon Him, had said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.” (Mu’jam Al-Awsat)

We here at Orphans in Need are giving you an opportunity to donate to our Eid al-Adha Gifts Appeal, to help children experience the day of Eid with joy and dignity.

Why Eid Gifts Matter

For many children, receiving a gift on the day of Eid means that they can feel remembered. To receive a new outfit, toy, or even school supplies can create a lasting memory. Through your giving of gifts for Eid al-Adha, you are helping parents who are struggling financially and are unable to provide goods for their children to properly celebrate the day.

Traditional Eid al-Adha gifts through our appeal will cover clothes, sweets, food packages, and toys for children. These traditional gifts for Eid al-Adha can remind vulnerable families, and families in need, that they are not alone, and that the Muslim Ummah stands for them, caring for them and supporting them in times of need.

Bring Happiness to Orphans This Eid

Orphans and helpless children are facing the reality of hardship every single day. Many are living without stable homes, proper food, and access to education. During Eid, these struggles can be felt even heavier as they see those around them celebrating whilst they have very little on their side.

Your donation will provide Eid al-Adha gifts to children who are seeking kindness and support. A small contribution will help create moments of joy and comfort. By supporting our Eid Gifts Appeal for Eid al-Adha, you will be helping a child celebrate the day of Eid with hope, happiness, and dignity.

“And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive.”
