Qurbani falls on the 10th, 11th, and 12th of Dhul Hijjah, which, in the UK, is predicted to begin on 19 June. Qurbani is carried out on the three days of Eid and signifies the difficult decision the Prophet Ibrahim (AS) made to sacrifice his son Ismail (AS) for the sake of Allah (SWT).
If you are eligible to make a Qurbani donation (i.e., meet the Nisab threshold), then you are expected to make a sacrifice of an animal, usually a goat, sheep, cow, or camel, that is then distributed amongst friends, family, and people experiencing poverty.
