Hope for your home in Jannah

Ramadan is a sacred opportunity to earn immense rewards, seek forgiveness and work towards building your home in Jannah where you will be in the blessed company of Allah (SWT), the Prophets (may peace be upon them), and the angels.

With no guarantee of when your last Ramadan will be, don’t miss this chance to do good deeds and give hope by easing the hardship of orphans and widows who are suffering around the world.

Indeed, with hardship, there will be ease.”  (Qur'an 94:6)

Last year you donated to our orphan care programmes and appeals, keeping hope alive and easing the hardship of over 200,000 orphans and widows in over 13 countries worldwide. You fed them with over 12 million meals and saved countless lives.  Thank you, we could not have delivered hope around the world without you.

Keeping Hope Alive

As you read this, over 153 million orphans around the world are losing hope for a better future. Young children are trapped in conflict, vulnerable children are facing exploitation, widowed families are dying from starvation, and hope is dying. But you can be the one to keep hope alive and help orphaned children and widows who desperately need your support to survive.

153 million

There are over 153 million orphan children worldwide.

By the end of the day, another 10,000 children will become orphans.

258 million

258 million women worldwide are widows, majority of whom live in extreme poverty.

You can make a difference tonight.

War, disease and poverty, has torn families apart causing millions of children to be without a parent(s) and millions of women widowed. Families who have lost their breadwinner are struggling to survive and risking their lives for just a morsel of food. They are subjecting themselves to methods of humiliation and neglect to have their basic needs and their human rights met.

We want to help the millions of orphans and widows in the world’s most poverty-stricken areas to give them what they deserve.

Tonight, we want to rescue orphans from the streets and give them shelter, we want to find sponsors for orphan children and give them an education, finally, we want to give widowed mothers new homes so that they can raise their children in happier and safer homes.

Should an able-bodied Muslim not be able to complete a day of fasting out of necessity, whether due to ill health or starting the menstruation cycle, they can delay their fast and make the time up later in the year. If they are unable to make up the fast, a small tax of £4 can be made for each day that a fast has been missed. This tax, known as Fidya, contributes to providing two meals to a person in need. If someone misses all the fasts of Ramadan, it would amount to £120.

Donate Fidya

The tax for deliberately missing or breaking a fast without a valid reason is known as Kaffarah and demands either fasting continuously for 60 further days or donating enough to feed 60 impoverished persons. Each time a fast is intentionally missed, a donation of £240 is expected to help those in need.
