Long Lake Challenge 2016

The popular Long Lake Challenge is back, and its bigger and better than before! Join the Orphans in Need Team as we kayak down the LONGEST lake in England – Windermere!
We will be kayaking along the 11 mile-long lake, making sure to stop for a delicious lunch.
Registration fee: £35 (non-refundable)
Minimum Sponsorship funds to raise: £180
Come along on this fantastic day out with a fabulous bunch of people all wanting to make a difference to orphan children!

Is there an age limit to enter the event?
The minimum age for participants is 7 years. Children aged 7-15 must be accompanied by an adult.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
A coach will be travelling from London to Lake District. If you would like to make your own way, please ask for the full address.

What can/can't I bring to the event?
You need to bring waterproof Jacket and Trousers (these items are compulsory) Fleece/ Removable jumper (..Or any easily removable jumper will do!) Trainers (Make sure it isn’t anything you don’t mind getting ruined.) A change of clothes and shoes (So that you have a dry and pleasant journey home.) Towel.
You can’t wear long dresses or skirts due to health and safety. -
Do I have to be able to swim to participate?
No, you do not need to be able to swim. A byouancy aid will be provided, and there will be many guides accompanying the participants.

When will the coach pick us up/drop us back and where will be leaving from?
The coach will be leaving from the London Office at 1am, on Saturday 27th August 2016. The coach will return to the London Office by 11:30pm* on Saturday 27th August 2016.
