12 yrs old
This is Abozer Bashir
In 2013 Abozer’s father died at the age of 50. He had been at a funeral in the district of Mardan, Pakistan, when a suicide bomber detonated his vest, claiming the lives of 40 people.
After his father’s death Abozer and his younger brother, Abass, went to live with their uncle on his farm.
With little money, their uncle was struggling to take care of both boys.
Now, thanks to sponsorship from Orphans in Need, all of this has changed…
The family was brought to the attention of Orphans in Need through a local partner in Malakand.
Both boys are now sponsored and receive healthy and wholesome meals as part of their support. They are also going to school regularly.
Abass is gifted and talented, and has even been promoted to sit in a higher class, studying alongside his brother.
