Orphans Village Update – Spring 2014

Orphans in Need is proud to announce that all of your hard work and support has paid off and soon we will be launching our Orphans Village in New Delhi, India. Twenty of the homes have been completed with an additional two nearing completion. The first group of orphan children will move into the purpose-built buildings before Ramadan (July 2014) where they will be looked after by live-in widows who ensure the children receive the best care and loving warmth that they deserve.

Following through our vision, we have ensured that the Orphans Village has been constructed with quality materials to a high standard – we want to provide our orphans with a home that we ourselves would be proud of. As you can see in the images, the homes have been painted and decorated internally and externally. The grounds of the Village will also be developed and maintained in line with the green landscape of the surrounding area.

Your support is still needed for the furnishing of the homes and the construction of the dedicated school and mosque buildings which will serve to develop the children’s educational and spiritual needs. If you would like to contribute to these projects, please call our team on 0207 100 8866.

We hope for the Orphans Village to reach full capacity later in the year once the final construction is complete. Live-in widow carers and staff will be trained to ensure the best level of care is delivered to the orphans, in a home built on love and affection. It is no exaggeration when we say that it is your unwavering support and prayers that have made this possible.
